Applied Reconfigurable Computing (ARC) Symposium

Reconfigurable computing technologies offer the promise of substantial performance gains over traditional architectures via customizing, even at runtime, the topology of the underlying architecture to match the specific needs of a given application. Contemporary configurable architectures allow for the definition of architectures with functional and storage units that match in function, bit-width and control structures the specific needs of a given computation. The flexibility enabled by reconfiguration is also seen as a basic technique for overcoming transient failures in emerging device structures.

The International Symposium of Applied Reconfigurable Computing (ARC) aims to bring together researchers and practitioners of reconfigurable computing with an emphasis on practical applications of this promising technology. This year's Symposium will have a series of international invited speakers who will express their views on the future of reconfigurable technology.

Submission Information

Submissions must identify the format of the contribution as either:

  • Long papers, (12 pages maximum) which should include mainly accomplished results (oral presentation )
  • Short papers (6 pages maximum, or 8 pages maximum upon payment of a further charge of US$100) to be composed of work in progress or report recent developments ( poster presentation )

Each paper will be reviewed by at least three program committee members. ARC 2010 proceedings will be published as a Springer Verlag LNCS series volume ( Lecture Notes in Computer Science ).

The top papers of ARC 2010 will be invited to submit to a special section of a forthcoming issue of ACM Transactions on Reconfigurable Technology and Systems (TRETS).
